Edition 1

barbara Edition 1 explores the relationships between people and the natural world. Threading through these poems, our writers find solace in woodland, in goldfinches on blooming thistles, and in the co-mingling of jellyfish toxin and human blood. Discomfort in one’s own skin becomes the fluttering of bird’s wings, the authentic self singing for freedom. As the reader, we are invited to step closer, and experience the dissolving of boundaries as human shifts, blurs, and becomes heron, forest, mud.
